ANGEL

Shaft of light

shining through darkness

Swirling winds

driving away dark clouds

Lashing rains

cooling the parched earth

Angel from the sky

driving away despair

“When storms gathered

blotting out the sun

You vanished never to return

with no hope in the horizon”

“Always with you

I was your shadow

Blinded by sights yonder

you lost sight of here and now”

Hello Latha:)

Lovely word pictures with carefully crafted words to create maximum impact and clarity. Like a skilled painter you have deftly created vivid graphic pictures which opens up the minds eye to amazing scenes you want to portray.

I tried to understand the meaning that lies under the magnificent portraits and come to the conclusion that the grass is greener on the other side and people are always attracted to the other side when every thing they want is with them.

I always feel such people are never satisfied and look back with regret, grief and sorrow. You have not implied this conclusion yet this is what happens to people who are not satisfied with what they have.

Wonderful poem, great pictures and marvelous presentation with deadly impact.

Have a nice day:)
Joseph

Here is the Angel who comes wearing a 'ring of love'!
Good poem.. not just about sight & sounds.. but there is more to it than what it reveals.

@Joseph-Thanks a lot for your sincere words.
Yes, our guardian angel may be right beside us but we tend to realize it rather late. As you say, the grass is greener on the other side. The wisdom to realize otherwise comes late in life for some of us.
Thanks again.

May be you are right,
unspoken words are more
interesting I guess:)
That's left to the reader
to interpret as they please
(makes the job of the writer easier) :)

Here for the first time (from Rama's post). Love what I see... simple, expressive, vivid for all to see and delve deeper, to understand the true essence of it!
